Geralt, the white wolf by alcomando Geralt, the white wolf by alcomando
No knight he, though a master of the sword. No wizard he, though adept in secret magic. He did not care to save the world, yet for many he was a deliverer. He was no murderer, though he killed for a living. The legend of him that arose... is not over.

The Witcher is an underrated game, it had it's flaws but something about the atmosphere of it all, the way i felt when the medallion started to growl and every time i placed a good hit to continue the combo was awesome, and the story and character... just amazing, Geralt should be named one of the best characters ever.

thanks, glad you like it :D

Oh I agree with you on that. Freinds try to tell me that Dragon Age is a far better version of a grim fantasy world, but I just laugh that off. The Witcher defined gritty realisim in a fantastic setting for me, and while the game may not have been perfect I enjoyed the heck out of it. Dragon Age is for women who like to micromanage the sordid love-lives of their circle of freinds. Hunting Bruxa in the Catacombs of Vizima is made of manly stuff. Geralt for the win! :D

(PS, did you pick Shani or Triss?)

while i was playing Dragon Age Origins i kept thinking "The Witcher was better, darker, felt more realistic, this weapon feels like plastic, i can't wait for The Witcher 2". and yeah, hunting bruxa through the sewers, or kikimores through the swamps is manlier when all you have is a sword, some basic spells and some potions that you made yourself (potions that could kill you if you drink too many); it's not like you could summon a whirlwind or a lightning storm to kill everything.

PS, i picked Shani.. i just have a weakness for women-doctors with short hair :P

I'm from Poland and I read the Witcher saga in original (because most likely Sapkowski is a Polish writer :P) because I love fantasy. The plot is very interesting, a lot of humor get's in making the image of whole book look very good :D
